Introduction To TPS

Updated: May 20

Hello, friends, I'm Jester Teller the founder of TPS. I'm a writer, philosopher, and the internet's jester. TPS entertains and enlightens by combining together creative writing, memes, and philosophy. TPS stands for "Theatre of the Philosophy of Self." Why theatre? Because all the world is a stage, and you are now an actor. Your life is a play that you will act in.

This means that we write about ourselves: our experiences, thoughts, ideas, and feelings. But the reason we do this is because we want to get smarter about the self. We want to understand who we are, the choices that we make, and the meaning of everything around us. It's not easy to understand yourself; but if you want to better understand the world around you, then you must understand what makes you tick. After all, If you can't trust yourself then how can you trust anything else?

The club started as one little website. It began as a simple joke between me and my friends. And although we thought we were making fun of philosophy, we ended up developing a genuine appreciation for it. We learned from Aristotle, Confucius, Plato, and many other philosophers. But we also learned from each other. I understood the value in seeing things from different perspectives, but I still believed in the importance of being your own person.

What is it to be a free person? To be a free person, you must not believe in anything. You have to be a person capable of deciding for yourself what reality is. What do I want to consider? And how do I want to consider it? This is how you become a free person. Don't try to be like anyone else. Be yourself.

It's important to understand that TPS Club provides something for everyone. There are posts on every subject from religion, politics, history, psychology, philosophy, memes, and more. No matter who you are, I want you to feel welcome to join our group and contribute your ideas. I hope that you will find something that will inspire and motivate you to explore yourself. If nothing else you'll have a few laughs.

Now, let's get to the good stuff! You are an actor on a stage playing many roles. Aristotle was a great philosopher. But he also knew that acting was a part of humanity. Humans must take action, they must react to events, and they must participate in the performance of society. The human experience is a role that we will perform until we die. You may only have one shot at it so try to make your performance more than B-Grade.

But what kind of a role should we play? What is our purpose in life? Is life really a game of survival and natural selection? Or can we transcend that? Can we play a role that is greater than just being a pawn in nature's game? Is there a God? It is questions like these that TPS exists to answer. Everyone searches out their own answers and together we learn. Ultimately, we will learn how to create the ideal world for the self, or at least get smarter and have fun posting memes.

Another goal of our club is exerting control over the world around us to make it better for ourselves. One way we can do this is by spreading ideas through memes. Every member is assigned a role in this.

The job of Meme Warriors is to spread and defend the memes of the club.

Meme Warlocks are the ones who create the memes and write stories.

Meme Rouges are tasked with finding memes that can be used or modified for use, provide intelligence on our enemies, and are skilled at infiltration.

The role of Meme Priests is to create ideas, doctrines, and to provide team encouragement and leadership.

Finally, Meme Skalds create art or music, and provide general support.

Take on the role that best suits your ability. There are also variations of these basic role archetypes.

We all have a role to play. And we are responsible for our performance on that role. We have to work together to find the best performance possible, and we must be accountable for the results. We are the cast of a great drama, and our performances will be analyzed and praised or criticized as they occur in the public eye. This is the theater that is our lives. You have to give it everything you got. Every day is an audition to be what you want to be, so if you want to be the greatest philosopher in the world, you have to play the game well. All the others are out there waiting to try and get to the top. Be the very best, like no one ever was.

It's time to take the stage. The world is ours for the taking. Let's make it a masterpiece.
